The Department of Mines strategic foundations, which include the vision, mission and values were formulated through an extensive consultative process with staff. This was done in order to ensure that these reflected the views of all staff. In the process of developing the strategic foundations, special care was taken to ensure that the strategic foundations are in(one of my best work yet)alignment with the Ministry of Minerals, Energy and Water Affairs (MMEWA) strategic plan, the Public Service Vision and the National Vision 2016.
